Been a very satisfied client for 3 or 4 years now. I do annual exam, contacts and glasses. I've also had specialty encounters for different concerns. Dr Aikens is so amazing, I would never switch. I'm autistic and have a lot of health anxiety, so I ask a LOT of questions, I'm always met with warmth, compassion, and validation. Everyone on staff is kind, courteous and very approachable. Heidi at the contacts lens desk is always super helpful and friendly. I have VSP and Tricare, and the team here is knowledgeable on both plans and helping me leverage my coverage to get the best materials for the least out of pocket. They're very motivated to make sure I'm happy with my service, and I'm sure they've lost money on contact lens trials and upgrading my glasses when the features I chose didn't work for me.
I’ve been considering writing this review for a long time, and I feel it’s necessary to share my experience. I do not recommend North Dakota Eye Clinic if you are planning to get LASIK. Unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing. This place is not a LASIK center and they should have been clear about that from the start, but it became evident throughout the process. It seemed like their primary concern was making money, not caring for their patients. Important information, like the potential side effects and the level of pain I could experience, was glossed over, leaving me unprepared. I only met with Dr. Sczepanski once, for about five minutes, and was expected to trust him with my future vision. The actual procedure was painful. At one point, I even asked them to stop because it felt so rushed, like they didn’t have a second to let me breathe. Now, a year later, I’m still experiencing blurry vision and extremely dry eyes. When I expressed these concerns, their only advice was that "there’s still a chance it will go away" and to “try eye drops”. It felt dismissive, as though they were downplaying the seriousness of my situation. There should have been better after-care in place. I chose North Dakota Eye Clinic because I heard great things, but my experience has been anything but positive. If you’re considering LASIK, do yourself a favor and go to an actual LASIK center—perhaps in Fargo—where you’ll hopefully receive better care and attention.
Excellent care given 👏 The referral given is excellent. Thank you
Very welcoming and extremely professional. Hands down the best healthcare process experience I’ve ever worked with
Very helpful on some potential issues with my eyes. Appreciate the information about study in which I could participate in the future. Wish it was free, but the cost is minimal, and if it can help someone else or me or my family, it will be worth it. Looking forward to trying dry eye mask and spray medication that were recommended by Dr. Nelson. This has never been recommended before. I am hoping and praying that some of this will alleviate some of my frustration and fear, and improvements could happen. I am also trying to help my brother, but his eye prescription records were not found. I know he was there because I brought him there for his exam a few months ago. Hopefully, that will be resolved. I did not have time to get glasses, but I know from North Dakota Eye Clinic helping my brother a couple of months ago, that they were thorough and respectful.. The glasses are a bit expensive for me, but the service is good. Otherwise, front desk was fantastic, as was Rylie (technician) and Dr. Nelson Thank you.
It was a great place got in for a exam right away . People were very helpful and nice.
Had my yearly checkup with Dr. Nelson today. She does a thorough checkup, she is kind and explains everything and is easy to understand.
