TECNIS® Symfony IOL

TECNIS-Symfony_Toric_lens-front-200x300-200x300

Today, people who have their natural lens removed can elect to have the standard monofocal IOL that typically provides excellent distant vision or one of the more technologically-advanced IOLs that can provide a full range of vision. Meaning, you can read, see clearly in the distance, and everything in-between, with little or no dependence on bifocals, trifocals or contact lenses for most of your activities.

There are a number of these advanced IOLs available today that can provide a full range of vision. One of the more advanced IOLs we offer our patients is the TECNIS® Symfony IOL. It is a new category of IOL lenses that delivers a continuous, Extended Range of Vision.

Patient that received the Symfony lens are more likely to achieve improved intermediate and near vision while having similar distance vision to patients who receive a standard monofocal IOL.

The TECNIS Symfony lens is available in both a Toric version for patients with astigmatism and a non-Toric version for patients without astigmatism. Its unique optics also provides reduced levels of halos and glare when compared to multifocal IOLs.
