Key Responsibilities
-Billing: Assist in the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies and other third-party payers.
-Patient Accounts: Manage patient accounts, maintain accurate records, and process payments efficiently.
-Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients with billing inquiries and concerns, explaining bills, and resolving issues.
-Coding: Learn and assist with medical coding to ensure proper coding of procedures and diagnoses for billing purposes.
-Documentation: Maintain organized and complete records of billing and coding activities.
Qualifications
-Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in billing, coding, or healthcare administration is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
-Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
-Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and navigate billing software.

**Key Responsibilities: **

- Ensure timely and efficient reimbursement for services rendered
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ophthalmology and optometry billing and coding practices
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies
- Stay informed about changes in coding regulations and compliance requirements
**Qualifications: **
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing and coding
- Experience in ophthalmology and optometry billing and coding preferred; however, we welcome individuals with extensive experience in other specialties and are excited to provide training.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
