Salary: This position offers a competitive base salary of $55,000–$60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, this role participates in a production-based quarterly bonus program designed to reward performance, leadership, and team success. High-performing candidates have the opportunity to earn total annual compensation up to $80,000.

About the Position

The North Dakota Eye Clinic, proudly serving our community since 1954, is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Optical Manager to lead our state-of-the-art optical department.

This role is ideal for a strong leader who enjoys helping patients and coaching, teaching, and developing employees. Prior optical management experience is a plus, but not required. Leadership experience is required, and we are happy to support the right candidate in growing their optical knowledge.

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • Clinic closes at 3:00 PM on Fridays
  • No weekends
  • Major holidays off

Position Overview

The Optical Manager oversees daily operations of the optical department and provides leadership to a team of five opticians. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances patient care, team development, and operational oversight.

  • Proven leadership experience (optical experience preferred, not required)

  • Willingness and expectation to become a Certified Optician if not already certified
  • Organized, dependable, and team-oriented

Entry Level Billing Specialist

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job description:

Are you eager to start a fulfilling career in the medical field and have a passion for numbers, organization, and helping others? We're looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Medical Billing Specialists. No prior experience in medical billing is required—just a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a desire to grow in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

-Insurance: Verify patient insurance and benefits before visits, contact patients to obtain or update information, determine copays and amounts due at time of service, communicate patient responsibility, and confirm coverage with insurance companies as needed.

-Patient Accounts: Manage patient accounts, maintain accurate records, and process payments efficiently.

-Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients with billing inquiries and concerns, explaining bills, and resolving issues.

-Billing: Assist in the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies and other third-party payers.

-Coding: Learn and assist with medical coding to ensure proper coding of procedures and diagnoses for billing purposes.

-Documentation: Maintain organized and complete records of billing and coding activities.

Qualifications

-Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in billing, coding, or healthcare administration is a plus.

- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

-Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

-Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and navigate billing software.
