Types of Surgeries:
LASIK with IntraLase

return to surgeries

Better vision through laser technology

The IntraLase Method is a 100% blade free approach to laser vision correction that provides superior accuracy, precision and an excellent safety record. Your surgeon uses IntraLase to create the corneal flap for your LASIK procedure. IntraLase uses silent, tiny, rapid pulses of laser light—one quadrillionth of a second each--to harmlessly pass through the outermost layers of the cornea until it reaches the exact measurement and creates the corneal flap. The surgeon then gently folds back this thin layer of tissue.

Precision counts

The IntraLase Method makes LASIK bladeless, which minimizes the possibility of flap complications. And its unique level of accuracy means more patients may now be candidates for laser vision correction, such as those with flat, steep or thin corneas.

See better: Day and night

Together, the IntraLase Method and LASIK procedure can improve the fine details of your vision—and your “contrast sensitivity.” This means better night vision, without halos and glare. In fact, an FDA study of LASIK treatments revealed that four times as many patients were very satisfied with their night vision after the procedure compared to the quality of their night vision with glasses or contact lenses.

Patient-preferred

In a clinical survey of LASIK patients who had their corneal flaps created using a blade in one eye and the IntraLase Method in the other, the vision in the IntraLase treated eye was preferred 3 to 1 (among those who stated a preference).
