Complete Eye Exam

Regular eye exams are important to monitor your eye health and to keep your precious gift of sight. We will perform a thorough evaluation of your vision. It will likely include the use of dilating eye drops to allow for the most complete exam. Your vision may be blurry after the exam, so you may want to make arrangements for transportation. Please allow at least one hour for this exam.

We will ask a complete health history. Please bring a list of the medications you are currently taking.

The exam will include:

  • Visual acuity measurement and refraction to test your glasses prescription, if any.
  • Muscle and pupil function and side-vision evaluation.
  • Eye pressure test. Elevated pressure may be a sign of glaucoma.
  • Complete exam of eyes with special instruments and lenses.
  • Other specialized tests are available when necessary, such as visual filed testing, optic nerve analysis, corneal mapping and thickness, etc.
We will look for signs of several medical conditions such as diabetes eye problems, glaucoma, and cataracts. We offer both ophthalmologists (EYEMD) and optometrists in our clinic for your exam.
